Holistic Addiction Treatment
Holistic addiction treatment has seen a spike in popularity as more people desire treatment options that allow them to be proactive in taking care of their bodies, minds and spirits. Research shows that holistic therapies can have a positive impact on an individual’s journey to recovery.
East Stroudsburg Hillside Detox Inpatient offers a variety of holistic therapies such as nutrition management, yoga, meditation and hiking.
Long-Term Care for Criminal Involvement
In cases of extensive criminal justice involvement or numerous relapse experiences, a long-term stay (usually more than 90 days) in a residential rehab program can be helpful.
Our residential, non-hospital rehabilitation programs include medical detox, dual diagnosis treatment, individual counseling sessions, group counseling sessions, psychological assessment and outpatient support services.
Additionally, our long-term programs include:
- Personal financial management training with an emphasis on restitution, fines and costs
- Employment readiness training
- Community service work
- Sessions focused on overcoming criminal thinking and behavior
- Services for those in court-mandated drug or alcohol rehab
Family Programs
Addiction affects the entire family. Family involvement can be critical to a client’s success during and after treatment. Pyramid Healthcare has developed a program designed to educate family members about the disease of addiction. This program also helps families learn skills and behavioral strategies that can minimize the negative impact of addiction.
Our family program can also open lines of communication between the client and their family members.
Pyramid Healthcare counselors can provide family counseling if it is requested by the client.
Life Skills
Helping our clients improve their quality of life is a crucial part of our mission. In order to help individuals successfully reintegrate into the community, we provide extensive life skills training at our halfway houses and residential programs. Such skills include:
- Financial management
- Job preparation
- Communication skills
- Social etiquette
- Volunteering
- Appropriate utilization of community resources
- Goal setting
- Stress management
- Problem-solving
Women’s Trauma-Informed Residential Care
This specialty treatment program is designed to address the unique experiences and needs of adult women, such as severe untreated childhood trauma, low self-worth connected to intimate relationships and co-occurring disorders.
Women participate in counseling, 12-step programs, psycho-educational lectures and more. Our program also teaches women how to safely cope with physical, psychological and emotional trauma without the use of substances.
Our Langhorne inpatient facility offers this specialty treatment service. Learn more about trauma-informed care at Langhorne.
Aftercare Substance Abuse Programs
In order to help clients maintain sobriety, we offer aftercare programs that provide some structure, oversight and planning post-treatment.
Aftercare arrangements are unique to clients’ wants and needs. For example, if the client was part of a residential program, staff may recommend that they step down into an intensive outpatient, outpatient or partial hospitalization program to continue specialty treatment. Other aftercare options include halfway housing.
Aftercare recommendations come from Pyramid Healthcare counselors or designated aftercare staff.
Mobile Assessments
Mobile assessments can simplify and accelerate the specialty treatment process. Our skilled and knowledgeable mobile assessment team members coordinate treatment and handle pre-certification with insurance companies and other funding sources. A mobile assessment ensures that clients receive an accurate diagnosis and appropriate level of care.
Once the assessment is complete, a Pyramid Healthcare counselor works closely with the affected individual and their family to ensure that the individual received the necessary supportive services and specialty treatment, if necessary. Even after the process, we remain a resource for questions, support, and other needs.
Mobile assessments are available in Allegheny County, PA and in the Allentown, PA area.
Recovery Houses
Recovery houses provide individuals with a safe living environment, free from drugs and alcohol. They create a community of people on the path toward long-term recovery. Recovery homes are not treatment programs – residents pay rent and must abide by house rules. These types of residences are ideal for individuals who are newly sober, transitioning from structured treatment programs toward independent lives free from substance use.
