Your Personal Advocate for Opioid Recovery
Several Pyramid Healthcare locations are designated Centers of Excellence. The Pyramid Healthcare Center of Excellence initiative, implemented by the Pennsylvania Department of Human Services, aims to increase the number of individuals who are successful in their recovery from opioid addiction by integrating behavioral health and primary care.
When a person seeks treatment but care is not immediately available, they often return to active use. Additionally, many people who enter treatment leave prematurely and without any safety nets or supports, causing them to relapse. Studies have shown that individuals addicted to opioids are less likely to complete treatment than those addicted to other substances.
Pyramid Healthcare Centers of Excellence
Individuals seeking assistance at one of the Pyramid Healthcare Centers of Excellence are paired with care management staff in their area who provide advocacy and support to help them successfully stay in treatment. The Care Management Team will help facilitate access to care for individuals who are on Medicaid and have an Opioid Use Disorder, utilizing the hub and spoke model. These services will prevent premature departures from treatment by helping individuals make appropriate and effective decisions about their paths to recovery.
Individuals interested in accessing the Care Management Team can contact the Center of Excellence by calling (844) 444-0023 to speak with a Center of Excellence team member.
