Pyramid Healthcare’s Maryland subsidiary, Walden, is pleased to announce the opening of its new inpatient substance use program for men in Harford County, Maryland.

In July 2018, Walden became the first member of Pyramid Healthcare’s family of companies located in Maryland and currently provides trauma informed behavioral health services including inpatient treatment, outpatient services, and recovery supports for adults and adolescents with substance use disorder, trauma and mental health needs at four southern Maryland locations in Charles and St. Mary’s counties.

Walden has received national recognition for providing an integrated model of behavioral healthcare services to residents of southern Maryland since 1973. “Walden has a long tradition of providing a comprehensive continuum of care utilizing evidence-based treatment models and we are looking forward to expanding the high-quality services in Harford County,” stated Brandon Golder, Vice President of Operations.

“Government officials and the provider network have been incredibly helpful in facilitating the development of this critical drug and alcohol treatment service in Harford County to help address the opioid epidemic that has gripped Maryland and the entire nation. This will be an important resource and key piece of the treatment continuum for those suffering from addiction,” remarked Jonathan Wolf, CEO.

Located at 1015 Pulaski Highway Joppa, Maryland 21085, the Harford County program will offer Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) as well as short- and long-term inpatient and co-occurring substance use treatment for up to 52 men.
