At Pyramid Healthcare, we understand the unique challenges veterans face when it comes to substance use and mental health. Our team is committed to providing comprehensive care for veterans who may be dealing with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), addiction or co-occurring disorders. While we offer services to both veterans and non-veterans, our specialized approach ensures that veterans receive the understanding and treatment they need.
Veterans often carry the weight of military experiences that can lead to substance misuse as a coping mechanism. PTSD, which can manifest in many ways, is often a key factor in the development of addiction. Our treatment programs acknowledge these unique challenges while offering a healing environment that promotes recovery and reintegration into civilian life.
Tailored Treatment for Veterans
Pyramid Healthcare’s veterans’ treatment programs focus on addressing the underlying issues that contribute to substance use disorders and PTSD. Although military trauma can sometimes look similar to other forms of trauma, veterans may benefit from treatment strategies that are mindful of their distinct experiences. By participating in mixed population groups, veterans can also learn from and support others who have gone through similar recovery journeys, while adjusting to civilian life in a way that honors their service.
VA Benefits and Accessing Treatment
Pyramid Healthcare is proud to be a member of the Veterans Affairs Community Care Network (VA-CCN), which offers veterans more timely access to care and the ability to use their VA benefits for outpatient treatment.
To access services through the VA-CCN, veterans will need to secure both an authorization from the VA and a referral from their primary care doctor. We make it easier for veterans to navigate this process and are here to help with any questions about referrals, eligibility or benefits.
At Pyramid Healthcare, we are committed to helping veterans receive the specialized mental health and substance use treatment they deserve. Our team is experienced in guiding veterans through the VA-CCN system and understands the unique needs that come with military service and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). If you’re unsure about the process or need support with VA benefits, our admissions team is here to assist you every step of the way.
We know that the journey to accessing VA benefits can sometimes feel daunting. If you’re a veteran who hasn’t yet enrolled in VA benefits or need help navigating the VA-CCN system, don’t hesitate to reach out. Our team is here to help you connect with the right resources to ensure you receive the care you need to begin your recovery.
If you are not eligible for VA-CCN coverage, don’t worry—we are in-network with most major insurance providers, accept Medicaid VAYA and offer self-pay options, so you have a variety of options for coverage.
